Context

Human population is rising and poverty is deepening over most parts of Kenya, including the Mount Kenya area.

Public schools are overcrowded and dissatisfaction levels among teachers can often lead to strike action. As a result, most Kenyan children do not receive sufficient education to fulfill their potential and hence the establishment of Jupiter Junior Schools.

The situation has also been compounded by the presence of numerous orphans as a result of the HIV and AIDS epidemic. Education is the key to overcome poverty and ensure stability as Kenya progresses into a developed nation.
